An Exhibition of Paintings by I Made Duatmika with theme “Tourist Sites” held at the Ganesha Gallery Four Seasons Jimbaran.

A talented colorist with a flair for jewel-like asymmetrical compositions, Duatmika’s canvasses can be compared to stained glass windows with secular scenes. It is clear that his wish is to express his joy and thanks through his art. Indeed, while there is a tendency for tourists to bemoan the negative effects of tourism, this should be tempered by the realization that there are many good effects as well.

Eid (Idul Fitri – Muslim Holiday)

More informally known as Lebaran. Idul Fitri is the biggest holiday in Indonesia. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadhan. Also theres an annual tradition that people in big cities travel to their hometowns or other cities to visit relatives, to request forgiveness, or just to celebrate Eid with the whole family.
